# Clone an EdgeWorker ID

Clone an EdgeWorker ID to change the resource tier.

- `edgeWorkerId` (string, required)

### Query parameters

- `accountSwitchKey` (string, optional) — For customers who manage more than one account, this [runs the operation from another account](https://techdocs.akamai.com/developer/docs/manage-many-accounts-with-one-api-client). The Identity and Access Management API provides a [list of available account switch keys](https://techdocs.akamai.com/iam-api/reference/get-client-account-switch-keys).

This endpoint expects an object.

- `resourceTierId` (integer, required) — Unique identifier of a resource tier.
- `description` (string, optional) — Description of the EdgeWorker.
- `groupId` (integer, optional) — Identifies a group to assign to the EdgeWorker.
- `name` (string, optional) — A name you assign to the EdgeWorker.

This section describes attributes of an EdgeWorker registration.

- `accountId` (string, required) — Identifier for the account under which the EdgeWorker was created.
- `createdBy` (string, required) — Username of the person who created the EdgeWorker.
- `createdTime` (datetime, required) — ISO 8601 timestamp indicating when the EdgeWorker was created.
- `edgeWorkerId` (integer, required) — Unique identifier of the EdgeWorker.
- `groupId` (integer, required) — Group identified by the user who created the EdgeWorker.
- `lastModifiedBy` (string, required) — Username of the person who most recently updated the EdgeWorker.
- `lastModifiedTime` (datetime, required) — ISO 8601 timestamp indicating when the EdgeWorker was most recently modified.
- `name` (string, required) — Name given by the user who created the EdgeWorker.
- `resourceTierId` (integer, required) — Resource tier selected when the EdgeWorker was created.
- `sourceEdgeWorkerId` (integer, required) — EdgeWorker ID used to create the current EdgeWorker ID. The `sourceEdgeWorkerId` also appears when you view the details of a cloned EdgeWorker ID using the [Get an Edgeworker ID](https://techdocs.akamai.com/edgeworkers/reference/get-id) operation.
- `description` (string, optional) — Description of the EdgeWorker.
